In the study there were 367 participants.

Each of the participants was consuming 1500 mg of the turmeric extract or 1200 mg of ibuprofen for 4 weeks, and at the end of these 4 weeks the effects war completely the same. And the turmeric extract was proven to better because it caused no side effects, such as stomach pain which was caused by the ibuprofen.

How to prepare a Turmeric Tea and get an instant pain relief:


  • A lemongrass tea bag
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • One inch fresh and minced ginger root
  • 2 teaspoons of ground turmeric
  • 6 peppercorns (if you want)
  • 2 cups of water
  • A pinch of sea salt


Put the water in a put, and put it on heat. When it starts to boil add the turmeric, minced ginger root which also needs to be peeled, the sea salt, peppercorns and cinnamon. Let it boil for a few minutes and then simmer it for 15 minutes on low heat. After that add the lemongrass tea bag inside and let it inside for 3 minutes. Then take the pot off the heat, and then you can pour the tea in a glass and drink it while it is warm.
